February 2020 PAC 3 Meeting
On February 8th, 2020 PAC 3 welcomed The City of Durham's Racial Equity Task Force. In November 2018, the Durham City Council established a City of Durham Racial Equity Task Force with a mission to engage with the broader Durham community to address issues of racial equity through education of inequitable circumstances, research of best practices, and issue policy/funding recommendations, and to address racial inequity in the community and government entities. The RETF presented their drafted recommendations on areas of Criminal Justice, Public History, Wealth/Economy, Housing, and Health. Members of PAC 3 had the opportunity to give their feedback on all recommendations by participating in an interactive activity. The RETF will review all community feedback prior to making amendments to their recommendations.
